Monk fruit is a small sub-tropical melon that has a naturally sweet flavour that comes directly from the mogrosides (antioxidants) in the fruit, not from fructose or sucrose. It therefore has zero calories, zero carbs and zero glycemic index!

Thankfully, our Monk Fruit Concentrate:

Has a unique sweet flavour
Is virtually free from calories
Doesn’t raise blood sugar
Doesn’t feed candida yeast

Monk fruit is grown in orchards nestled amongst the pristine mountains of Southern China where it has been cultivated for hundreds of years. According to legend, monk fruit is named after the Buddhist monks who first cultivated the fruit nearly 800 years ago.

Swathed in sunlight, the non-GMO vine-ripened fruit is hand-picked at the peak of ripeness each fall. It is then crushed, infused in hot water and then filtered. This juice is then concentrated to bring you Monk Fruit Concentrate, used beautifully to add a sweet flavor to food and beverages such as tea, coffee, homemade lemonade and plain yoghurt. In baking, it works best when combined with a natural sugar alcohol such as erythritol.

After meeting Katrina, the owner, and her husband earlier this year (2019) we were both taken aback by their honesty and integrity. Catherine has used Thankfully Nourished products for years; but was not aware of the lengths this team goes to, to ensure their products are truly whole and real foods.

They told us stories of products they were researching and developing, but that weren’t meeting their high standards. Despite their desire to introduce the new products, they would not release them until they met 100% of their values. If this could not be achieved, the products were scrapped! We knew instantly this was a company we wanted to support and share with you.

Two stand-out products are collagen and liver tablets. Their collagen powders are ethically sourced from grass-fed cattle or from fish scales of wild-caught Red Snapper and are almost tasteless. Their liver tablets are made from grass-fed New Zealand cattle and freeze dried raw – a rich source of useable iron.

Both these products are a great way for vegan/vegetarians who are wanting to introduce animal protein, to add this into their diet, without having to make the step to eating flesh.

We are so proud to have them on board; and feel uplifted knowing how much love and conscious thought goes into each and every one of their products.
